Food, A part of the conference

Table fellowship

At Yasuragi, the food is more than just a break from a conference - it’s an important part of the whole experience. We take our inspiration from modern Japanese cuisine, Nordic minimalism and sometimes, when we feel like it, we add an international twist. Our gastronomic experiences include everything from spankingly fresh sushi and elegant Japanese à la carte dishes to flame-grilled teppanyaki experiences which encourage a whole new dimension of interaction and creativity.

Naturally, we ensure everyone can find something to enjoy here. We offer dishes for vegetarians, vegans and guests with lactose- and gluten intolerances, so no one needs to go hungry.

Sustainable choices

Sustainability is a cornerstone at Yasuragi, which is why it's natural that Japanese flavors with locally sourced ingredients also have a place on the menu.

Make a sustainable choice for both your health and the planet - feel free to choose our vegan alternatives.

Common questions about

Food at your conference

  • Is all food vegetarian?

We strive for a food culture that is as sustainable as possible. That’s why our menus always include vegetarian and vegan options, though we also serve fish, poultry, and, to a limited extent, red meat. For the sake of the environment and your health, we encourage you to explore our plant-based dishes. Please see our menus for current offerings.

  • What kind of food is included in your meeting packages?

During day conferences, we offer energizing breaks in the morning and afternoon, as well as lunch. For overnight conferences, you have the option to choose a dinner menu. The menu options depend on the number of participants. Feel free to ask us, and we will assist you in finding the best option for your group.

  • Can I wear my own clothes in the restaurant and bar?

It is perfectly fine to wear your own clothes in our restaurants and bars.

  • Are all ingredients locally sourced?

In collaboration with our food suppliers, we strive to use as many locally sourced ingredients as possible.

  • Do you serve an a la carte menu for conference groups?

The number of participants determines which menu we offer. For groups of more than 10 people, we serve our set menu. For groups of fewer than 10, our à la carte menu is available.

  • Where is our dinner served?

You’ll enjoy your dinner in our restaurant Hasu, located next to our rooftop terrace with sweeping views over the Stockholm archipelago.

  • How do you ensure any allergens are taken into account?

We always ask if there are any participants with allergies or dietary restrictions we should be aware of. This information is then passed on to our kitchen, which ensures that all our meeting guests receive the best possible options tailored to their needs.

  • Can we arrange a banquet dinner with you?

At Yasuragi, we have our unique venue Fuji with a seven-meter-high ceiling that allows for spectacular events and banquet dinners. Our head chef is happy to assist in creating suitable menus for your preferences and arrangements.

Food and Drinks at Yasuragi

We serve food inspired by modern Japanese cuisine. Our menu combines clear flavors with Japanese techniques in an aesthetic expression. A journey for all the senses.

Food for our health
We are what we eat is a familiar saying. There is more truth to this than one might think. The food we eat not only affects our health, but also our climate. For the planet's survival, it is important that we make sustainable choices and eat more green and less but good meat.

The food at Yasuragi is based on Japanese cuisine, which has been shaped by several principles. These include care for the different seasons' delicacies, care for the aesthetic visual impression, proximity to the sea, and the heritage of Zen Buddhism. Several of the basic ingredients used in Japanese culinary art have been drawn from the neighboring country China, such as bean paste (miso), soy sauce, tea, and rice.

The basic ingredients in Japanese cooking are rice, fish, dried seaweed (konbu; ingredient in clear broth – dashi), and soybeans (used for tofu and bean paste miso). Common flavorings are ginger, soy sauce, and wasabi. Also important is using fresh ingredients, allowing them to vary depending on the season, making it more sustainable.

Welcome to Yasuragi, a unique place for meetings and conferences in Nacka, 20 minutes from Stockholm city center.
